“Stat” Of The Game: (The Low Down, Dirty Snitches)
I don’t care how ugly it looks, beating Tennessee always makes me happy.
Kentucky played better, but are still not “there” yet. However, there were some positives from the game.
Two of those positives are both stats of the game. Yes, a rare two stat line “stat of the game.”
The most positive stat line is that of Kyle Wiltjer and Julius Mays; shooting a combined 4-9 from 3 point land. It’s not a great percentage, but for two guys that haven’t been able to throw one in the ocean lately, it was good to see. Lets hope it continues.
The second positive stat, is that Alex Poythress went to the floor four times while going after a loose ball. Cal has been ALL OVER Alex all year about giving more effort and last night showed that Alex is slowly on his way to doing so. If only we could get everyone to play with as much energy as Nerlens. Or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. That would work too.

Nate Willis has committed to Kentucky
According to Nate Willis’ Twitter account, he has committed to the University of Kentucky.
The 6′ 180 pound Cornerback from Arizona Western College chose the Cats over Arkansas, West Virginia, Kansas State, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State, among others.
He becomes the second corner to commit in the past week, pointing to the lack of depth and quality of players that the staff perceives to be at that area of the field.
Willis was at one time a South Florida commit.
